Browsec VPN Review 2022

Today, VPN technologies, also known as “virtual private networks”, are all the rage, but not for the reasons they were originally created. They were conceived as a way to securely connect business networks over the Internet, or to give users access to business networks from home, very simple and direct use. The point of a VPN is to create a secure connection to another network over the Internet. Accessing region-restricted sites, masking your online activity even when using public Wi-Fi, all this and more can be done with a VPN.

Number of Servers600+1000

The number of servers and locations does not exceed the industry average. Шf there are few servers (less than 1000), then the speed will not be normal either. Moreover, any VPN service reduces the data transfer rate by half, or even more.

Speed tests

Any VPN service reduces the data transfer speed by half, or even more. We tested countries to get information on the download and upload speed.

Ping time out

What is a good ping? It depends….

If for an ordinary surfer on the Internet, then the response does not really matter. Similarly, ping is not needed to watch the video, since the data transfer is streaming. For online games, a good ping is between 50 and 100 ms. This response is quite enough for a quick reaction and getting into shooters. An excellent indicator will be from 0 to 50 ms – with such figures, you will not notice a strong difference from the LAN mode. In any case, you can play on a response from 100 to 120 ms (optimal ping), although in this case you will lose a lot to people who have a lower response. If the response has the numbers 140 or higher, then it can be considered bad. Everything is simple here – the lower the value, the better, and the larger, the worse.

DNS Leak Test

Users typically subscibe for VPN providers thinking that the service they pay for will protect their online privacy. But knowing that information can be leaked through a VPN can be scary and unsettling.

Torrenting

But, having become everyday, albeit with some legal reservations, torrents have not ceased to be fraught with several not entirely obvious dangers. The first piece of advice given by cybersecurity experts is to make sure you protect yourself when torrenting with a VPN.

BitTorrent with Browsec

There are no windows.exe. Broxsec does not work with BitTorrent.

uTorrent with Browsec

There are no windows.exe. Broxsec does not work with uTorrent.

Router

In the paid version, you can connect five different devices under one license. In case you are using a browser extension, you must consider each browser associated with the Browsec extension as a unique device.

Browser extension

The VPN service Browsec is mainly focused on Chrome, Firefox and Opera browser extensions. You can download VPN on your phone or tablet from the Play Store and App Store.

Browsec is only available for iOS, Android, Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Opera. But this is only through browsers, not applications. There are no Browsec VPN apps for Windows, Mac, Linux and other platforms. This is one of the reasons why Browsec doesn’t work on Windows.
