We tested CyberGhost for work in the USA, UK, Japan, and South Korea. But, CyberGhost works only in the USA. There were the following test results – speed was 720 p. It’s enough to watch Ultra HD (4K).

Netflix

CyberGhost unblocked the USA library. Other libraries ( UK, Japan, and South Korea) were not unblocked. For the stream buffer (for the USA only), it took a lot – 32 seconds to start a video with a quality of 720 p HD.

What is a good ping? It depends….

If for an ordinary surfer on the Internet, then the response does not really matter. Similarly, ping is not needed to watch the video, since the data transfer is streaming. For online games, a good ping is between 50 and 100 ms. This response is quite enough for a quick reaction and getting into shooters. An excellent indicator will be from 0 to 50 ms – with such figures, you will not notice a strong difference from the LAN mode. In any case, you can play on a response from 100 to 120 ms (optimal ping), although in this case you will lose a lot to people who have a lower response. Streaming

Unfortunately, Betternet does not work outside the USA (in particular, it does not work in the UK, Japan, and South Korea). In our tests, the test speed in the USA was 720 p. This way, this VPN makes it possible to watch Ultra HD (4K).

Netflix

VPNs should unblock the streaming platform. We selected Netflix to be tested because Netflix is one of the most popular platforms. We considered the following options: Library, Streaming buffer, Streaming quality. We selected one country from each region. The table below shows our testing data.

We only were able to unblock the USA library. This way, the libraries in Europe (UK), Asia Pacific (Japan and South Korea) were not unblocked – so our attempts here were not successful. For the stream buffer (for the USA only), it took 11 seconds to start a video with the quality of 720p HD.

Ping time out
